The print "Amaranto" is made by composing tempera paintings that outline the deep perspective of a garden of eccentric plants of Celosia Amaranth "cockscomb", whose whimsical and elegant flowers are reminiscent, as its name suggests, of a rooster's comb. Its complex, puckered and curled petal structure can produce flowers of many different colors, such as yellow, orange-pink, orange, pink, dark red or purple, and its large, dense panicles are surrounded by elongated, sharp leaves of deep green.
